Were you say “Nodgel”, i say nodal, im guessin…that you are refering to the short internodal length, like most carachteristics, it is geneticaly predisposed and influenced by conditions. When i compare different plants from the same batch of seed, i pay attention to internodal length, because it tells me if they have different light requirements. A shorter internode means it needs less light when compared to other specimens under the same conditions. Cheers.

Thats what SleepsWith was refering to, the water softener is a salt brine solution, so if you need a softener, the untreated water might not be suitable for plants either, but a full w3ll water analysis could be interesting to see if its easier to correct the treated water or the raw well water, the rest is beyond me…
Ok, first correction, i had not understood that you are not watering with softened water, so the ph adjustment might be locking something out, or disolving too much of somthing that blocks out something else, its not my specialty, but the order in witch you mix your solution is very important. You can test ppm and ph before and after, but the chemistry that involves acid and minerals is gonna cause some kind of reaction…

I would nor recommend a southeast asian/tropical sativa, to a beginer. So if you are trying to help beginers, they have to understand that there are very few differences in soil/warter needs from one strain to the other, so it all starts with learning to give no more than it needs. The underground conditions needed are more similar from strain to strain as opposed to aerial conditions tolerated by various strains.(temperature, humidity, daylength). So the plants know whats best as they have been trying hard to grow as strong and fast as possible for millions of years, it is sad that humans trye so hard to change nature in stead of adapting to it.

Some gangier specialist from california went to pakistan last year and were very impressed by the vigor displayed by the local landraces… many places have ferous cannabis that is perfectly adapted to its environnment, but as we love the plants so much, we nurture them till they are spoiled brats and then reproduce just that, very good smoke that is very well adapted to very nice conditions and that enventualy causes degeneration to the point that even our super nice growing conditions are not good enough, like spoiled children complain without realizing they have all they need. It could be said that it is up to breeders to make sure they know what real cannabis should be able to withstand and not just release the best trichome growing organism, just like parents will raise their kid to withstand what they think is reasonable, but not always at par with real life.
So whats next; i must bring up an idea that bounced around my head yesterday, hopefully as legalisation progresses, the clone market will replace a big part of the feminized seed market, because of some factors like better availability, quality and diversity, but autoflows are not clonable…anyways the bottle neck effect is being felt, but at the same time we have more and more labs and grows to keep true breeding cannabis alive, problem might be the lack of interest for breeding in higher education with the availability of gene editing, its so sad to see that a plant that is so adaptogenic and so willing to produce 30 000 phenotypes and 250 000 medical profiles is being pirated and shorted of its potencial by heady humans with a self imbued love for cannabis… ok nuff barfing, have a nice day you alls. -Brice.

Let’ s go over the first point brought up by frozenb, you can figure out when, or at what daylength, a specific strain will flower, by doing a test run indoors with a clone that will be the same exact one used outdoors. A test like reducing light 2 hours a week… but you still have to chose from something that has the potencial. So a guideline that took me a while to find is this;
Looks for the weather statistics that give you daytime high temperature average per week, the low temps will probably be on the same chart, but first look for the last week that still has an average high of 18°Celcius, that meens some days will be higher and some lower, anyways consider that tha last good week, so then count backwards 8 weeks and that is when you need your 8 week strain to begin flowering. How to get your plant to flower then is your job, always conditionnal to environment and strain specification, and your pot size is an environmental factor.
On the second point by frozenb, i like feel like morning sun is good to lift off the dew and give em a little higher leaf temperature, but i’m just on the 46th paralel, what do i know.
Good growin to you-alls. -Brice

It’s all about cultur, first thing i would do is get in touch with people who are doing it with succes in your region, If there are none, you must be a genius or a loner, but i would not venture there. Humans have tried to grow this plant everywhere, if there is a place with humans that does not have plants growing already, ask yourself why, if the answer is legal and political, you found a gold mine.

Once apon a time, i did a run with a hundred of my own seed, and one third of them had triple nodes all the way, they were born tricotyledons, but that hybrid was not at par with my needs for other reasons and two branches per node is good enough when the internodes are short, as if we dont get enough density already.

I would not be compeled to put molasses on my leaves, albight there probably aint much in the recharge and the leaves will be fine, sugar on leaves is what feeds ants that heard aphids that cause the plant to secreat the shit that brings sooty shit…but isn’t shit precisely what make the flowers grow, well makemsur its good shit, cause if not you make mold grow.

I’ m not sure i can explain all i did to get to this point, but me and the rabbits have truce in one spot, the deer don’t come around and i havent seen the ground hog up there, i used wolf urine for two or three years, so i thought the deer were gone, stopped using urine, but for the last two years they come by but dont touch, funny thing with the rabbits they were smart enough to eat only fan leaves, never damaging the branches or tips, they knew how the plant grows, this year very few leaves were missing. The less food they have in the wild the more they look, so early planting is attractive some years, but they eat all day just walking along chewing on stuff they recognise, so physical bariers are key but now my site is all open, i think it is even an itersection of trails. I always thought they dont like the taste of autoflows, just like many humans…oh the ground hog story, i just yelled at the fucker everytime i saw it close to the plant that is close to the house, so i would go running to my plant and keep yelling agressively, then they stopped until i mowed the lawn, they came back because i cut their food source, so the yelling happened a few more times but they stopped, they did fuck up my lower branches and that was just ok to get me pissed but not enough damage to shoot them, they was a couple and baby, imdojtbsee them anymore, maybe afox got em…what am i writing, a novel i guess, i should.
