Always tradeoffs. Bigger dehumidifier is more heat which would require bigger ac.
But you’re 100% right. If humidity is the control, don’t go small/cheap.

Is 1″ of feeder roots developing from start + other benefits (not as leggy) better than an extra 1″ of deep roots?

They take in less, but I wouldn’t cut that much. Looks like they want more.
