I also have questions here. When I started all this, I had a tent. Now, I have a basement and am sort of adapting on the fly. I’ve got 2 new plants, which I was planning on putting into veg in a few weeks, but now that I can’t use the tent, I have nowhere for the 2 new plants to go for the next 8 weeks. Would it hurt me at all to just … let them catch up? And then put all four into flower at the same time?

My immediate goal is to work on mastering the art of growing cannabis. To learn everything I can from anyone and everyone who is willing to teach me. And finally to start a business centered around this plant.

I have a bunch of fruit trees, and a small garden.

But, that’s not a bad thing necessarily, as I do plan to take clones before I spray them with STS. That way, I collect the pollen from the master plant and then have however many clones I want to make seeds. I have a feeling that IF I were to do a full run like that, (I have 6 buckets and 4 soil pots) I’d end up with THOUSANDS of seeds. More than enough to do research for the rest of my life. LOL

MemberJuly 12, 2024 at 12:26 am in reply to: Has anyone grown out the free to veterans strain called Purple Heart?Oh wow. I got mine right away. Is there a need for small-scale breeding of these seeds for others to have them? Would that even be okay? Could we get permission to essentially help out? If I have 3 femme plants, I’ll sts one, apply the pollen to the other two girls, and start selecting from there.
Meanwhile, I grow out five clones (max I’m allowed) from the original two moms for the next round of pollen from the beans, this time selecting the traits you like about the plant. You have to do what, I think 3 generations of that to have something you consider stable? But, if people are waiting for these seeds and we get told it’s okay to help – I’ll absolutely do that as my first project in the new lab once I get the mylar up. I’m down to help our fellow veterans. I was a field corpsman with H&S Company, and prior to that Alpha Company of First Medical Battalion from sometime in 1997 until March of 1999. An awesome 2 years of my life. I taught mostly, I was both the Systems Administrator for, as well as an instructor with the Medical Education and Traning Section, or METS as we were called. I taught Medical Terminology, Combat Trauma Management, and the Medical Management of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare Casualties. This actually will come in handy tomorrow when we put up the initial layer of clear mylar to make a cheap field airlock to separate my grow room into 3 distinct zones. Office/hang-out area, grow room, with a combination drying room and quarantine room in the very back. A small zone, easy to make cold and dry, very very dry.
