How do you store your cultures? In the refrigerator? Or in a dark cool dry spot?
vancerefridgeration-
I just store them in a cool dark spot. In a cabinet in my basement seams to work for me

@dales_dankness I inoculated 5ml yesterday of hillbilly pumpkin, took the needle back off, recapped it, put it back in it’s box and at the bottom of my fridge, I assume that’s okay? How long can I store?. Like if I were looking to start building a library?

@herb_hermit yeah it should work for a while you might want to look into making plates or lc so you make more it’s pretty easy but you have to be very clean

I keep them in the fridge, whether it’s LC, agar or syringes.

@Brando_The_Commando that agar is pretty interesting stuff. Definitely gonna get myself more involved in the mycelium culture, gonna be looking into lions mane and other types as well. Regular coffee fucks up my chrones pretty bad sometimes, so gonna look into mushroom extract coffee as well.

@herb_hermit It’s really nice stuff, I typically use it to test my syringes for contamination. When I see no signs, I’ll store them and then you can also just spawn to grain with agar as well.

I keep mine in a dark cubby in my fridge. I used some spores that were a year old and no problems. Much to my surprise.
