2 months agoAsk a Grow Question Hey DGC! Just hitting week 2 of veg and getting ready to transplant my photos to 5 gallons later today and in a separate tent.
Would it be too soon to do some minor defoliation on some of the lower leaves? This is my first grow so I may be impatient but trying to be on top of micro environments.
photos for reference. Also i accidentally damaged a few leaves with a moisture meter, picking up pots, and I did have some light nutrient damage. So yeah the girls got some battle damage.

Usually safe to do some defol after she has 5 nodes. I’d remove damaged leaves and anything blocking lower growth that can’t just be tucked out of the way. Remember that just that something CAN be done doesn’t always mean you need to do it. Understand the why behind whatever you do and youll progress faster.

When trimming damaged leaves do you remove the individual leaf, damaged leaf area, or the branch?
