Hello DGC,

I am looking for any Caribbean DGC. I am new to the area and trying to adapt to the new environment. I have been watching the Rasta growers from Jamaica (on YouTube) to see their techniques, but would like to hear from someone growing at sea level. I know it’s a longshot but DGC is legion, so hopefully there is another near by.

  I don’t grow outdoors because I’d be seriously limited to the genetics I can grow. Nothing with a compact bud structure. You need to grow genetics acclimated to the climate. But they grow so loose and scraggly they’re hardly worth growing and take forever to flower. Some genetics that do well in a tropical climate take 4-6+ months to flower. If you don’t care about quality and just want to have fun outdoors. Go for it. If you need quality. Grow inside like me.

  I am worried about that also. Hopefully I can cross these genetics and find something that does ok here. I am most concerned with the dry and cure.
  
  In the meantime I can keep smoking the local weed. I get it for $80bz an ounce. I was getting better buds with strain names and all for $60bz an ounce, but my guy got shot and died.

    @jinxcat Agree with jmystro. I would stick with equitorial varieties. Try Durban Poison, Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, Pure Haze ( Colombian), Congolese, Thai, Honduras . These would be ones that I would try if I moved there. Personally, I would not advise crossing any indica into the aforementioned varieties.
