• “Even plants love a good mystery”

  • In an attempt to control the fruit flies from thw promix I got, i cut up sticky traps and sat them on the soil. It’s been rainy so the humidity is slightly higher. I went to move the traps to water the plants and BOOM! Hairy mold/fungus was under each trap😱. So I skipped watering today, and sprayed some soapy water on the surface of the soil,… Read more

    • You can put sticky traps on the soil if you water from the saucer (below). Fungus gnats can only reproduce in wet soil anyway, so watering from the bottom following a dry back is your best option under those circumstances.

    • Just an FYI, if that “hairy mold” was white and fluffy looking it was likely trichoderma of some sort and not harmful. It’s a really important part of breaking down nutrients in the soil.

    • lol my coco is always covered in a nice layer of mycelium and furry white mold. That’s how I know it’s good. I also run with pot covers so that probably keeps the humidity high but yeah it’s not something I even bat an eye at anymore.

I believe I started the flower state a little late. I started it Friday I believe and they’ve already staretched a couple inches🤦

Hopefully they dont hit the light🤣🤣

Luckily I still have about 6 inches of headroom between the light and the top of the tent Im willing to sacrifice. I assume I dont want this Ballist to close to the…

      • Is it hot to the touch?

        • Unlikely. Mine never gets THAT warm.

          • Also, top the shit out of them! They’ll grow sideways instead.

            • Don’t top them if you’re already on a 12-12 light schedule it will dramatically reduce your harvest weight! Never top them in flowering! Just pinch the stems and twist them slightly and it will reduce the stretching significantly and if they still get too tall you can always bend them and tie them down so they don’t stand straight back up…

              • And you don’t want the driver touching the top of your tent because it will make it overheat because the air can’t flow around it to keep it cool!

            • Any ideas as to what these brown spots are? I am using mother earth 454 all purpose soil ammendments only. The leaves, for a bit, were showing the signs of what I thought was a magnesium or sulfur deficiency, (it looked like intervainal chlorosis) so I gave them epsom salts for 3 or 4 waterings. I realized the soil ph was very low so I… Read more

                1
                • All 3 plants are gmo x gellato #41. The middle one is either just a tall phenome, or maybe tall due to being in the middle making it recieve the most light. But I think its the phenome because its literally dwarves the other 2. I even scrogged it flat with the tops of the other 2 and its still over shadowing it. The other 2 barely reach the… Read more
