Probably a stupid question but could I use peat for the water retention?

Last question was for first respondent. This site is great but I get lost in operation sometimes.

Was “Nice Dreams…” Can’t remember if “Noodles and his crew ever did find “Mr. Bud Good?” I’ll have to rewatch that one…

Yes it is. I got bored a few months back and found gardening channels on YouTube. I tend to go full throttle with stuff and throw caution to the wind. I’ve got so many plants now it’s likely a problem. It’s fun experimenting, but I do have the ability to do things by the book. So again, thanks for explaining things. Big deposit to my garden think bank.

Thank you. I haven’t grown enough yet to know exactly what new growth looks like or how it takes shape.

I was thinking about using D.E.. Supposed to be safe in flower if you keep it off buds. Organic, food grade, and from what I’ve read, effective. Some benefits to soil. Aids in nutrient uptake I think.

I guess I didn’t word my question correctly. I meant to get through the rooting process of cloning. I’m in a peat moss/worm castings/perlite medium and understand it takes longer in soil. Was planning on adding a good amount of window light (after rooting) along with the bulb to keep the hours of light long enough to veg a bit before I put em outside. Got a greenhouse in the works. I probably should just go ahead and get the lighting now. It will put my obsessive compulsive butt into overdrive. Seeing a box just sitting there will drive me nuts. Greenhouse will get done in no time…

Ty. I know I’ve seen Happy Frog around here at a few places. I did good with Sunshine Mix#4. Tried making up my own soil and added too much peat I think. Was having trouble with figuring out the watering. Anyway, good to know and thanks for the recommendation.

Well that answers a question I didn’t know I had. My last plant at one point got a couple twisted leaves. Come to think of it, the plants buddy did it too at the exact same time.

Wish I had known about it when I was dealing with gnats. I got so annoyed I burred em in sand which worked mostly but caused other issues. I hate those dang things. All I gotta do is see 1 and I’ll be convinced there is like 8 flying around in my nose for the following 72 hours.
