I have only ever used mine to dry trim, so I can not coment on how the bowl trimmer handles wet material.
They take a bit of trail and error to use right, it is not something easily explained, but you have to feel out the right amount of turns and the best speed to get the result you want. I also like to reversed direction with the half way through.
You will definitely lose more material with the bowl trimming vs scissors, but in my opinion it is easily worth it for the huge reduction in work you need to put in, also they give a pretty decent finish to the flower.
Also there is a huge reduction in the mess that gets created and after I have brushed all the Kief out of the bowl I just put the bowl trimmeri and all its parts in the dishwasher for cleaning.
I can’t see myself not using a one again in future, it makes a job I hate a helle of a lot easier.

I would check your water. For years I would run into these kind of issues.
Then I started using Cal Mag as a base to bring my water EC up to 0.4 and then add my nutrients to that base.
Since then I have never seen another issue and my plants always look super healthy.

How long have you been using the side lighting for? Do you find it to be noticeably effective?

I grew up in Co Down, but emigrated when I was Twenty. That was almost 30 years ago now, but I do go back and visit family once in a while.
I now live in Finland.
It must be hard on your Dehumidifier when growing in Ireland, that place is so damp and wet.

Finland is hot and reasonably humid in the summer and very dry and cold in the winter.
Four months of the year I am using a mini split and a separate dehumidifier.
The rest of the year is just a humidifier in the driest months.
Overall it is a pretty good environment.

Did your EC/PPM stay stable while feeding through the dark period?
