I’m curious whether any of you adjust or vary your soil or water PH to restrict/boost specific nutrient uptake at different stages of your grow?

I start my seeds with 5.7 ph water and their first feeding with nutrients is 5.8ph and I go up to 6.0 in Veg and then I work my way up from 6.0 starting the first week of flowering until I get to 6.4ph to 6.5ph around the middle of the flowering cycle!

Not since I moved inside. Back in the day we would adjust the soil to unlock the nutrients in the river water.

I wouldn’t recommend trying to make too many pH adjustments to a living or amended soil itself. A balanced soil has alkaline and acidic sources to balance pH. Hydroponic systems can have small pH fluctuations but with mineralized nutrition, the solution’s pH needs to be within a certain range at all times. Wide swings cause chaos. For minerals… Read more

I am 6.5 to 7.2 typically off my well with my additives which tend to lower ph just a bit. Not saying I’m doing it right, but my results have been good
