a day agoAsk a Grow Question I bought some gmo crossed with gellato #41 from a dispo. I ended up getting about 30 seeds. I popped 4 of them. 1 has 3 cotyledons and is growing 3 nodes a top instead of 2. That one is healthy actually so Im definitely curious about the mutation and plan to grow it. The others have…. imperfections so i may toss em. Anyways, I want to start buying legitimate seeds so I was wondering what suggestions yall have and strains maybe? I prefer sativa. The stinkier the better. The only seed company Ive researched was Homegrown cannabis co with kyle kushman and mephistos. But Im not willing to pay the ridiculous prices of mephisto’s. There is no way thwy can tell me their autos are worth twice as much as everyone else’s. That could be naive but the difference in prices kinda slapped me in the face lol

Triploids are rare.

@jmystro oh so thats what triploids and diploids are…. I didnt think it was thay simple. I’ve heard the guys mention them on the show but zoned out. Research time!

Looks good 👍 congrats on getting a Triploid I’ve been growing for over 25 years now and I have only gotten 2 seeds in Triploid and I have popped a bunch of seeds over the years! So I’m saying they can be a rare thing in cannabis plants for sure!

@wrath420 do they taste better or hit harder? Or are they just rare?

@GuppyGirl they usually do have bigger denser buds with higher THC content and terpenes compared to a diploid

@wrath420 anyone have any evidence of this at all? The magic of a triploid is supposed to be that they can’t get pollinated by a regular diploid plant aka outdoor seedless. They herm and pollinate themselves so they are pretty much a failed experiment at this point.

I’m currently growing a BG41 myself. Calling her freak show. Tried cloning but the spacing is so tight. Really interested to see how they both turn out.
