When growing outdoors, how much direct sun (vs filtered and shaded) is enough to get great results? Looking at this through the lens of DLI. Does DLI come into play outdoors? I have one small area that gets more than 10 hours of direct sun and I’ve read that you should have at LEAST 5 hours. What’s the least amount of direct sun time you’ve used and still gotten good results?

My neighbor does the outdoor growing I just grow indoors but he has had decent results with growing outdoors in 4-5 hours of direct sunlight!
