It depends on genetics. Some will let you push, pull, twist and bend all day. Others could herm by looking at them wrong. I ran blackberry kush from ILGM a few times several years ago and they were very tolerant to lst and hst.

Let them go. The idea of training is to get the top cola even with the rest by bending it down. Trying for a even canopy

Interesting.
I normally cut the lower stuff off due to them not getting enough light and becoming larf. As long as they can get enough light, leave them.

As the top colas are ready I cut them let more light in to the lower branches to mature. My last run of AK diesel harvested 3 times. This time it just got too big.

Grow with confidence, 2nd year growing it outside, near the dismal swamp in VA. Pest don’t bother it and it doesn’t care how hot or humid it gets no PM last year or this year so far.
