All of the electrical connections are in plain view nothing is hidden. As well as the controller for my lights has a temperature threshold that I can set. Also since I’m constantly in there putzing around I’m checking things. A little more now 😳. Maybe we could set up a “Safety Meeting” regularly to remind all of us to check our stuff…

I’ve got the fancy AC Infinity heat mat and thermostat and it’s cool, but TBH for years I’ve just been plugging my heat mat into the outlet, and it seems to do fine without a thermostat.
