Mutated Bear Assed Monkey. A branch from the second node is growing three branches on each of its nodes. I had a bag seed plant do the same thing. Must be something in the water lol🤷

I just found this on a mystery seed I sprouted, first three nodes were normal the fourth has three branches. I read that the plant will likely grow out of this mutation and plants like this may be bushier than usual.

@standingfox Yeah, Whorled Phyllotaxy. Probably genetic but it’s neither a good or bad mutation. I like to see this one though. It would be crazy if a plant grew 3 branches at every node on every branch; but otherwise grew normally. Be quite a bush.
After some further examination, the opposite branch has it’s shoots growing from the same side of the branch and it topped itself at like the fourth node. The growth above where it’s topped seems to be normal. I think the two branches for the 2nd node are the only one’s that mutated. She has got pretty big, I think I could’ve almost filled my entire 2×3 with just this one.
