The waxy outer shell of a trichome is called the cuticle. We dry bud and ‘cure’ oxidize the cuticle. The waxy membrane is soft when it forms on a live plant and hardens as it oxidizes during the drying process.

Somebody come take this plant, please! Blimburn’s Fat Bastard strain. I tried to drown her a couple of weeks into veg and she stunted. Topped twice, trained to expose bud sites and has been slathered in Crop Defender and kept under a cage on my deck for a couple of weeks now. She’s growing again and very well, I just don’t…
