High to All and All Stay High. I’m new to the site, I have a question, I’m not sure if this is the place but here goes. Curing, I’m using mason jars and trying sometimes use humidity pks. My Lids are of the type that you can suck all the Air out. My question is “Do I need to leave oxygen in the jars so I get the right Chemical reaction For Curing?”

      • Yes I would think the oxygen would be required to breakdown the chlorophyll and other aid the curing process. I believe that’s why they say fill them 3/4 of the way full, to allow for the oxygen. Hope this helps you out! Have a good weekend!

        • Awesome Josh, it’s nice to have a site like this. Back at ya on the weekend

          • Oxygen is your enemy while curing. That’s why I use Grove Bags. It makes it easier. You don’t want your goodies OXIDIZING. Therefore, the Grove bags has a permeable film that allows oxygen molecules to pass through (self-burping), but the membrane still keeps terps in. Terps don’t escape, oxygen does.

The most important part of curing imo is starting with the right amount of moisture in the buds. (A perfect dry)

I have tremendous success using a moisture meter to gauge the exact amount of moisture in my buds before trimming and curing. I go for 10-12% humidity in the center of the average sized buds. Into Grove Bags, worries over.
