This is what the scientific community refers to as a “moisture meter.” This device is used to measure moisture levels. It has several settings. For cannabis, we use the “WOOD” setting.
FUN FACT: When drying wood, the experts use moisture meters to make sure the wood has a proper dry with the correct moisture content. They DO NOT wait until the wood “snaps” and guess that it might be finished drying.
stick the prongs into the center of the average sized buds (get several readings from different sized buds and get an average).
10-12% is the desired range of moisture in the center of buds for a perfect dry. No guessing. No bro science. No over-dried buds because you waited way too long trying to wait in the stems to snap.
