• @scottyreal here is a strange one, Scotty.

I always run my grow space with a positive air pressure relative to my buffer room, my little 1m x 1m x 1.5m tent is like a bouncy castle.

The ambient Rh in my country and region at the moment is temperatures in the range of 20-25⁰C and a Rh of 85-95%.

      Panic stations..

I run a 600W hps, old school and two input fans, one 5″ and one 3″ fan, no circulation fan, I use the 3″ fan to stimulate the plant and the 5″ flows directly onto the light reflector for cooling and tent air flow.

Extraction comes from a 5″ fan coupled to a carbon filter.

Ambient nighttime temperature is around 15-18⁰C and a Rh of 85-95% again.

When my light is on the temperature inside my tent has been 26-28⁰C with a Rh of 46% and lights off around 19⁰C and 70% Rh. The plant is absolutely thriving.

Is it the overpressure that is reducing that Rh or is there another reason that I am missing here? I’m just thinking this might be a good solution for someone working on a budget like myself and cannot afford a dehumidifier or an air conditioner.

In winter when the ambient Rh is low I have to supplement it using bowls of hot water during flower and spraying during veg.

Rh can get as low as 25% if it’s a dry frosty day.

Sorry if this is dumb ..

      • RH about 50-55% during veg and then 40-45% during flower here and it seems to keep the PM away. You can get a dehumidifier for about 30-35$ U.S.D. It’s a lot of time wasted if the entire crop is ruined with PM

        • I try to grow varieties that are very PM and Mold resistant because it gets up to 90%/RH where I’m at in Louisiana and it’s just medical stuff here at the dispensary pharmacy lol this state is so ridiculous with everything cannabis related they can sell Hemp in the corner stores but they don’t have any homegrow so I just stand on my God given right to use any seed bearing plant as I see fit and will continue growing until the day I die because I have Crohn’s disease and need cannabis for my quality of life!
