I start flushing today.
Happy flushday everyone.
So glad everything is going to finish up before temps, potentially, get too high.
Not known for our scorching summers here in Jockland.
I use an HPS so i have to be careful, an ambient temp of 20+ will send my tent temp soaring.
2 weeks to go……

Has anyone used magnets to enhance plant growth and root health?
Saw an interesting article on it with microgreens.
You put a relatively strong magnet, north pole uppermost under your pot.
I’m thinking about doing an experiment soon.
-
Yeah you could try. But all the science points to it mot working. And if you get better results there’s too many variables with the control. That’s kind of like electro culture. Lots of people swear by it.but you would be better focusing on things that are proven, like microorganisms, fertility, soil structure and organic gardening

It won’t hurt to try it. One thing I’d like to try is electrically grounding the soil of potted plants, like just stick a grounding wire into the soil. There are a lot of electric reactions going on with a plant, and they evolved being electrically grounded in the earth so I wonder what difference it might make.

If you haven’t please read the secret life of Plants, you will love it. It talks about many things like this and how they affect plant health.

Please also do it and share results.

I’m looking for some nice Girl Scout Cookies genetics.
Does anyone have a breeder or seedbank they can recommend?
My current cultivar is from Barney’s Farm and I’m definitely going to keep a GSC mother, I’d appreciate some feedback before I pull the trigger on some more beans.
The one i have was a freebie and i don’t think they give their top…

seedsherenow – try the search!

Just harvested some GSC from fast buds, and it grew really well and HUGE buds! But autos might not be your thing. I grow outside so in the summer I grow autos to have continual harvest until my photos are ready.
-
Sorry man I don’t do autos.
Good info though, do fastbuds do any photos?

Not positive but I think “ILGM” run GSC, get seeds in a week… If a deal is running you can get 5+5 or 10+10. Great warranty, I myself have had seeds not perform…but germination is not 100% for me. Just started again in 2020 in a couple of tents, 40 yrs ago it was in a Phototron, much has improved. 2 of the best resources for me is … Read more

Apologies if this question has been asked and answered but here goes
My nutrient schedule indicates i should use PK 13-14 on week 5 of flower.
Are there any visual clues i should look for in the plant that would enable me to fine tune exactly when to start using this product?
-
You may be able to use a chlorophyll meter as you dial in the PPM of the PK . PK at week 5 should be roughly 700 ppm

£250 – £300 for a meter.
I was hoping the plant or the flowers would give a visual clue? Spending that on a meter is not viable.
I don’t even use a pH pen or an EC wand.
I monitor pH with pH fluid and borrowed an EC wand to take a measurement of my nutrient schedule.

Knowing when a specific genetic is in peak bloom (when you want a PK boost) may be difficult for a new grower to tell. Are you growing from seed or clone? No one can tell you how a seed will perform so you’ll need some experience to know what to look for. If you’re growing a clone and have been told the exact flowering schedule then the person…

you should be seeing a noticeable uptick in bud size and density come week five – that’s when they want more. some strains will start this a little earlier, some a little later. just keep an eye on them
