I’ve grown a lot of Barney’s farms and it doesn’t take a lot to get them to produce some sort of flowering issues if you are not consistent or shock them in a positive way, believe it or not.

Whether you improve your lighting or you are a little too generous with a PK booster they always seemed to foxtail for me.

If you look at all of there promo images on the website you’ll see that 90% of the examples have some sort of foxtailing visible, maybe its a genetic thing?

I have just grown a Runtz Muffin from seed from Barney’s Farm and I’m on week one of flush. I think I have everything nailed on this lady, from the nutrients to the environmental conditions.

No signs of foxtails yet so I think I have it nailed.

Maybe it’s the inconsistencies that you have introduced that have stimulated the unwanted growth?

I run my tent at a positive pressure, pure engineering/bro logic.

Seems to do the trick, the extra volume and air pressure in my brain will increase the CO2 a tiny amount but when talking CO2 and from listening to Dr Bugbee etc it doesn’t require much increase to make a difference.

    I’m probably talking shite.

Just make sure you have a decent tent or you might get an odour you don’t want circulating in the house.

I use CANNA© Coco A-B plus the full range of supplements.

I have tried other brands in conjunction with “ton of bud” etc but always got amazing results with CANNA.

I have been fine tuning my nutrient application for 10 years and I’m happy and comfortable with the results now.

My water here is excellent straight from the tap (faucet), perfect pH and EC, and after mixing my nutrients my pH is around 5.8 – 6 and EC around 2.2 when peak solution is required. I don’t need to constantly check EC and pH, I’m not perpetually chasing numbers.

    Can’t hurt.

I know the hydro cubes turn into big green algae bombs if you don’t cover them, never seen algae growth in any of my coco?

I have witnessed some of my pearlite turning green early in veg when the light reaches the substrate.

Should help keep moisture in and prevent evaporation from the substrate surface.

    Keep us informed please.
