I help people on Reddit sometimes and people need help Diagnosing issues. Through a combination of the show and my own research I’ve gotten pretty good at diagnosing issues although I’ve not needed to on my own plants yet. I make sure to do this so I can learn through practical experience, I ask people to give updates on their plants there as well.

I helped someone today with information I knew due to @scottyreal and @grambo talking about it on a show – Muldur’s Chart and Antagonistic lockout. The person I helped got caught by the meme of cal-mag and someone told them it would not hurt just tossing some extra in… I diagnosed the issue as a zinc lockout/deficiency and told them that fixing it was outside my wheelhouse but what *I* would try was stopping the extra nutrient additions, Flush the medium and then feed with normal nutrients based on the feeding chart.

That they needed to do that and see how the new growth responded, The current growth would not show whether the issue had been resolved. It kind of sucks that I’m good at diagnosing the issues but cannot accurately tell how to fix it yet. I’ll get there, As Scotty said when he showed us his grow “I’m learning.” 😀
