I don’t want to offend anyone but I have an honest question and I just can’t come to a conclusion about it myself.

I don’t know if its the genetics or if its training but I see these plants that have little sticks for branches and it makes me wonder… What is it that I have such thick branches compared to others plants?

Is it perhaps Sativa being more lanky why their branches look like sticks to me? Again I’m not trying to be negative towards others plants I’m legitimately wondering what the reasoning is for this.

I think its a bit of both, the genetics being a short low stretch cultivar causing the branches to thicken up more and the training I’ve put in. As I said before I beat her up pretty bad and learned some lessons. The tear in the main stem happened when I used the bud trainers for the first time, Recommended usage 1-2 weeks. That tear happened in 3 days of the clip being on the plant.

That is also what that baby blue thing in my medium is about, It is a stake meant to hold a garden hose and prevent it from riding along the wall of a house. I figured its top section would work well as a support for the weight of the upper plant so it stops tearing itself in half. It has worked well so far. I did not want to end up with the plant breaking like I’ve seen on reddit so I took action as early as I could, probably should have done it earlier and the tear wouldn’t have gotten so large.
