• I’m a brand new grower and medical patient. I’m seeing people talk about soils and what not. My question is this: Do they sell a soil at a garden center that would be good enough for my first grow? I’m about to put the plants into their forever pots to grow out of the smaller pots they’re in. Do I have to buy a soil just for Cannabis, or can I get something local? I have ordered and am awaiting my first thing of both Grow Dots and Recharge that I plan to add to the soil. Any help is greatly appreciated!❤️

      • I started with foxfarm soils before I went to coco. Happy frog for veg and ocean forest for bloom. Happy frog is lighter on nutes for the early stages. If you are going to use growdots, you may not need any nutes in your starting medium of choice. Look into coco though. Very easy and sustainable.

      • With Grow Dots and Recharge you don’t need to mix some complicated blend. Canna Coco is as easy as it gets. I’d recommend you start with just coco.

        • @jmystro I was planning to do 70/30 coco and soil. Do you think that’s good?

          • I would start with 100% coco. There is no reason to cut coco with soil when using Grow Dots. Soil brings too many unknowns, like possible pests. Unless you mix it yourself, I would stay away from store bought soils. Some stores don’t properly store their soils and that’s how you bring pests in to your garden.

          • Bio365 makes a living soil in bag option if you prefer an organic approach. Both are excellent options both work best with Recharge!

            • If I’m using soil I use fox farms happy frog. It’s generally available in most locations. If using coco, I use their cocoloco which is available as well.
