At 70F my plants would need a sweater. These remind me of the old HPS recommendations when you needed a cool room with those fireballs. Light source matters. With LED we want a LST about 80-82F with RH about 60-65% in veg and 50-55% in flower. 45% RH during late flower with plants that have large buds.

@jmystro no doubt. It’s been a long ass time since I’ve dabbled but back when I had a HID op I must have totally miss VPD. Since I’ve been getting back it seems a lot has changed. Here now with the LED setup and learning. I appreciate your advice. Open eyes and ears!

I was thinking the same thing. Even if they’re taking about leaf surface temps that’s a cold plant at 70°. I’ve done a lot of measuring with an IR gun. With my leds and setup i dont think I’ve ever seen a -5 difference from room temp to leaf surface. It’s usually around -2, -3 tops

I personally like my little ones into veg at 75. Then in flower I drop maximum 68. 70 from seed until early veg would stunt growth. But that’s just personal opinion.
