My ppms where way to high so I been flushing with ph distilled water with no nutrients I’m wondering since ita been a week is this a deficiency or new growth we are in flower almost week 2 any advise would be greatly appreciated since I am new to this indoor growing scene thank you in advance Dez

      • It probably would have been better to just water in with a lower ppm than attempting a flush. Flushing in the middle of a grow is an absolute last resort. I’d try to start feeding them again for sure. They are in the stretch period, and will consume quite a bit of nutrients during this time. If your not already, try adding something with magnesium sulfate (epsom salts) to your regular feeding sched. I don’t like to add anymore than 1 tablespoon per gal. One teaspoon per gal is even good. But with the deficiency showing 1 tablespoon won’t hurt. You can either foliar spray the epsoms or add it your nutrient mix

You also could have done just a regular watering with water one day then nutes the next. With out a ton of runoff like you would with a flush. A little more info about your nutrient source and media type will help some others that have a little more experience with this type of grow style. I run an organic setup with bigger pots and liquid ferments.

          • @Newleaf I did a regular water day before yesterday I only flushed cause my ppms were in the 2000’s like close to 3000 I got the ppm s down to like 687 so I’ll see on the next water I’m going to start given her nutrients on Monday I really appreciate your reply

            • @Newleaf I use happy from an ocean floor as soil an I am using the general hydroponics micro grow an bloom an cal mag an silica I was using my tap water at ph at first then i started adding nutrients I had thought my tap water had pulled all the nutrients out of the soil because of the chlorine then when I checked my ppms an seen it was like 2784 scared me so a grower friend of mine said give it a flush for the next 2 or 3 water cycles an use about 2 gallons of water so I did that seemed to bring it down alot so it will be safe to ster nutrients again given the 647 ppm range now thank you

          • I made the mistake of forgetting to check the ppms untill week 5

            • I didn’t start adding nutrients until week 5 cause of the soil I’m using

              • @Mystic what kind of soil are you using? If it’s highly amended, checking ppm at run off for organic amended soils is not the same as if you were checking the ppm in coco or promix. You will get higher ppm readings that arent really of concern. With a soil like that you don’t want to water till runoff as much either. Depends if your using synthetic salts, or liquid organic nutrients. Looks like a 3 or 5 gal (just guessing). I’d say the nutrients in that soil are used up by now, going by plant size to pot size. She’s hungry!

                • @Mystic Sorry ust seen your post further above, about ocean forest.

                  • @Newleaf yes a happy frog an she is in a 5 gallon pot 😄 I’m using using general hydroponics line of bloom grow an micro

                    • @Newleaf I also only flushed the plant with 2 gallons of distilled water at ph 6.1 an I don’t use my RO tap water cause it has alot of chlorine in it

                  • I’m running the GH 3part as well but I started filling my gallon jug a little below the handle maybe 1-2”, after each nutrient I add 1/2 solo cup of water( each nutrient cup is filled 1-1.5” with that portion of water from my jug) I used Advance Big bud and Candy also so after it’s all mixed, top your jug off with your plain water. It keeps your ppm lower so at filled you should be sitting at 8-1000 ppm. My ec would be 1.6-2.3 without phup I was sitting 6.12 on RO. I stopped using tap water as it skyrockets my ppm sitting at about 500 from the tap at 8. PH. My plants started doing better not using tap water.
