Question for the DGC! Curious as to how long do you keep product around? Im so spoiled since i have become a full time grower that i find myself in a sort of a dilemma with extra poundage laying around,(mids) and I personally wont smoke it but do have a couple friends that do like it. (If its over 6 months old I turn my nose up at it). Never would have happened a few years ago,lol. So i have been giving it away to a few select friends and i now want it gone. Should i just Shit can it, or give it all away and maybe hurt myself a little if you catch my drift? What do y’all do? Oh ,And my freezer is already full of flower for edibles so that a no go too. Refrigeration is the only way to keep high quality flower for longer than 3 months in storage.

I just switched to this method of storage. Right now I have cured the buds in terplock grove bags and am now switching to vacuum sealed jars in as wine fridge. I am not sure what to set it to, I set it to 60 degrees for now just to keep it a little cooler.

I don’t have that kinda stash yet. But I won’t even buy more than a gram of flower anymore. Dispensaries have me spoiled. Especially here in Oklahoma. If you trip and fall in this state, you have about an 85% chance of standing up and finding yourself in 9 different dispensaries. Shit. Back in the day though. I would tell my best friend I had a bud at home and needed to borrow his pipe. Only intention would be to scrape said pipe and smoke his resin. Return it acting like I thought I was just being nice returning it clean. Kids today don’t even know…

Oh, and it super easy for any license here. Hence the insane amount of dispensaries. As long as you don’t have “ I SELL DRUGS TO 8 YEAR OLDS!” on your forehead you’re good. Probably safe if it was on the neck. Should be able to render it illegible enough with a collared shirt to suffice. The laws here are lax and serves the small grower well.

@myokgarden definitely relate. Ive smoked some nasty shit back in the 70’s, lol. I think there is one dispo in the immediate area here in Virginia, legal mumbo jumbo for the most part, ive never been in one.

When I started smoking I lived in the sticks in Illinois. 92ish. My town dried out often. Never had an opportunity to grow back then.

I’m currently saving roach ash for use as an amendment. Trying all kinds of weird stuff. I tossed raw egg into a compost tea the other day. Let it brew for an additional 12. Nothing has died. Trying to stumble upon the next great recipe.

I like making green dragon tincture out of mine . I like to dkk on the long method were I let it soak in ethanol for about 90 days there is also a quicker process by warming it which can be done pretty quick.

I find myself giving shit away all the time but my best advice as I assume you’re going to do naturally is give it away selectively and strategically. Best wishes
