Im pretty sure that one is labled ready to use. I’m not sure if that means just washed or if it is buffered with cal mag as well. I’m interested in more replies. I would assume if it had cal mag added, it would say that in the bag. I use bricks of “buffered” coco from Home Depot. I buffer it with double label rate of cal mag before planting.

        • Okay nice to know how do you buffer your media before you use it. Do you just add water and cal mag or add til run off in the containers? I never have before and am nervous about this switch

          • @farmville I use Botanicare Cal-Mag. Lable rate calls for 3 to 5 ml/gal. So I use double label rate (10 ml/gal) then water until runoff. You want to wet all of the media. Don’t worry you will love coco.

            • So cool it’s that easy wow I was actually very put off to using it. If I don’t know the terminology it sounds to hard. In the future I’ll probably get coco bricks. I got time so I want to see how it turns from a brick into in the fabric pot as media. Thank you for your help kind fellow dgc!

              • I watched about coco bricks it doesn’t look to hard I think I’ll get that next time thank you for your help I appreciate it!
