DGC Thank you for the help getting Shane from https://www.youtube.com/@MIGROLIGHT booked on the show! This guy really does drop some legit science on his channel and I’m psyched to learn a bit more. I’m planning on asking him about; how plants use light in and outside the PAR range. I wanna talk some UV, Far/ Deep red ratios, IR. What else do we want to know?

I’m curious about intercanopy lighting. I posted an article a few days ago about some research being done. I have a bunch of those low watt barrina bar lights I’d like to get some use out of.

Side lighting is greatly beneficial for plants, less so on wallet.

Also darkness period before harvest! 24hrs? 48hrs? None?

I would like to know how long these lights maintain their high efficiency/ output. Every time you turn the light on it will use the same power for less and less light but how quickly does that happen. Also will the uv lights degrade the other lights or the makeup of the tent?

I’ve got left over blurples (veg button and bloom button), should I use them as side lighting with my spiderfarmer or just toss them?
Can using different lights get wonky?

UV and is there is there a good option for a grow room to kill pathogens? I’ve seen bathroom shower lights that switch to a UV mode to kill stuff for 10 minutes after you shut the lights off.
Could this work for IPM?

I would like to know more about the various spectrums of supplemental lights that are being offered, what they do, how to best use them, and are they worth it?

Can we use UVB for more than the last three weeks of flower? Any application for veg or early flower in very small amounts??
