It took me a minute to figure out how to get on the new app but my old ass is here lmao .i have a Sherlock Holmes pipe I haven’t used in yrs .

How do you clean the pipe? Does the stem detach from the bowl?

@sasquatchimo most of them do, I made a solid one piece Gandalf out of wood and was near impossible to clean, but I’m working on one that has copper or brass lining inside the pipe so it’s way easier to clean.

@herb_hermit I used to puff with a corncob pipe. Just used regular pipe cleaners for it. Maybe they make longer ones that I’m not aware of, or you could piece them together. Maybe the Dude will enlighten us on proper cleaning protocols.😎

That’s what I used to do was just twist the pipe cleaners together, I used to soak some of my pipe cleaners in acetone and run them thru…… it worked really well but made sure to clean it out really well and dry afterwards.
