I started this year with a new filter. I have taken it off 3 times so far and sprayed it clean with the hose, inside and outside several times. Most comes out but some spots I hit with a toothbrush and spray again. Let it settle and shake out as much water as possible, then I wrap it in a towel to suck out the rest. When I think it’s dry I put it on the exhaust end and blow hot air through it for a minute then hooked it back up. I don’t know how many times you can do this but it worked for me. My small tent is in my bedroom and I only smell anything when it’s time to clean the filter.
