• I was looking around this morning seeing what future strains I may want to get, and I am noticing some of the seed suppliers/breeders are charging 18 bucks per seed now, I think the typical 10 bucks per bean is still a little high, considering how many seeds one good sized plant can put out, they are making big bank.

I was going to say I’m not complaining but I guess I really am 🤑

      • Might be time to find a new seed bank or order straight from breeder , when possible.

I just ordered about 110 seeds straight from breeder. It was under $400.

          • @wrath420 all that is is pollen chucking that’s not creating a strain

            • @adk_grown I never said I was creating new cultivars? But I do cross different cultivars every now and then to creat something unique if I think they will work together to make a better cultivar than both parents were! But you can call it pollen chucking if you want I call it stabilizing a cultivar I love for the future! I usually breed 2 lines one for flavor and the other for potency to F5-F6 and then I cross the 2 lines and wind up with a stable flavor packed potent F7 that will consistently taste the same and have the same potency from seed I only do this with a cultivar that I truly love and I still love to Pheno hunt from seed but I’m not really complaining about the price because they usually pay for themselves in the end!

            • @wrath420 I have seeded females in the past, but there are a lot of strains to try out there that people have created from great genetics. I get burned out on the same bud, it’s nice to try new stuff or hunt down something else you know you already like.

              • @Hannabis I know what you’re saying I have the same addiction to buying seeds lol but when I do find a Pheno that I love I will make some seeds of it if it comes from regular seeds I usually try to pick the best male from the pack to pollinate the best female plants because there’s a lot of variety that can show up in the F2 generation and you could find some great ones in the future and if it’s a keeper from fem seed I usually just S1 them with silver thiosulfate reversal spray and sometimes I will cross 2 different Phenos from the same pack of seeds and make some S2 seeds and they usually show me some variation in the Phenos for some future Pheno hunting

            • All the time and work that goes into making a strain I can’t see complaining about a few dollars a pack of good genetics is going to go anywhere from 150 to like 300

              • @adk_grown I usually don’t buy more than 10 at a time, I have had great strains that I paid a little for, and ‘okay’ strains that I paid too much for. It’s not like it’s going to break the bank to buy a 10 pack, so I will splurge for a strain I really want to try. I do wait for a price break or coupon sometimes though..
