• Tin foil hat time.

Has anyone used magnets to enhance plant growth and root health?

Saw an interesting article on it with microgreens.

You put a relatively strong magnet, north pole uppermost under your pot.

I’m thinking about doing an experiment soon.

      • Yeah you could try. But all the science points to it mot working. And if you get better results there’s too many variables with the control. That’s kind of like electro culture. Lots of people swear by it.but you would be better focusing on things that are proven, like microorganisms, fertility, soil structure and organic gardening

        • Shouldn’t be too difficult to prove and with little or no cost.

I usually start off with a popped bean, veg and grow that strain out.

I take 3 clones and the next grow will be 3 off the bean I grew out.

If I stick a magnet under one and leave the rest it’s an easy prove.

          2 controls and one experiment.

          What harm can it do?

        • It won’t hurt to try it. One thing I’d like to try is electrically grounding the soil of potted plants, like just stick a grounding wire into the soil. There are a lot of electric reactions going on with a plant, and they evolved being electrically grounded in the earth so I wonder what difference it might make.

          • @BenThere I have a friend that does that, he swears by it but his weed is shite compared to mine.

These are small tweaks you can make but I agree with a previous answer to my post, get your environment optimised first as these “bro” hacks will do little to nothing if you have shitty conditions.

I’ll definitely let you know how I get on.

          • If you haven’t please read the secret life of Plants, you will love it. It talks about many things like this and how they affect plant health.

            • Please also do it and share results.
