Sorry I’ve been so quiet, been thinking a lot about how to approach this.
We must share our failures as well as the dank, sticky stuff.
Had a complete disaster of a crop.
Everything looked perfect but no smell and no resin after harvest.
Even during initial harvest and trim I was saying “what the fuck, the scissors aren’t getting sticky?”
I am certain it was a leaf miner/sap sucking grub combination that I brought in after walking the dog.
The stran was Runtz Muffin from Barney’s Farm.
It just never got that fruity smell.
I’ve put another into flower in a 7l pot along with a Back to the Future strain and they are both getting cannacure every 4-5 days.
Diatomaceous earth in my Coco coir and scheduled shower and change of clothes before going near plants.
Anyone else grown bud that had no resin?

Are you sure you’re plants were healthy and not infected by HLVD?

@wrath420 that’s a tough one without a genetic test.
Going on visuals I would say no but how can I be sure? Right?
What I did observe were signs of leaf miners and these little fucking grubs that I couldn’t identify.
So, doing what I can at the moment with pest prevention and I’ll know 100% mid grow if things are catastrophic.
Pain in the arse and time consuming but at least I’ll have an answer.
Got the best yeild I have ever had, the plant looked very healthy, I now have about 5 ounces of joint ballast.
I’ll definitely keep the site posted with my progress.

@yano I have had leaf miners and they had no real effect on the final flowers now those grubs you’re talking about are another thing altogether they can and will burrow into the stem of a healthy plant and decimate it from the inside if it’s the same grubs I’m thinking of do you have a picture of the grubs?

@yano If you still have the main stem look for a small hole and cut it open if you find a hole and see if you can find a grub burrowing into the stem and if you do then that’s what probably caused your problem!

It was THRIPS mate.
Fucking THRIPS.
I’ll let you know how round two goes.
Continuing with the Cannacure and the diatomaceous earth.
Hopefully get a usable crop this time.

The only time I’ve had no smell is when my room is too hot and every time that happens I end up with spider mites. You are probably spot on with the pest diagnosis.

Never even heard of such black voodoo sorcery unless the room was like 100 degrees or ridiculously over dried. Can you post a couple pictures of these plants?

I posted my fail. Put transplants in soil that was still hot on the second run. I reammended to much. But water only for the last month. I had some burnt leaves but the bud is still salvageable
