2 weeks agoGrow Talk So I have a question. I am a newer, indoor grower and newer to this group. This is my two month old Bruce Banner Auto, and I’m being told it’s already starting to bud. If this is the case, I had wish to do much more training with her before this point would it still be OK to try to lay her down and spread her branches out?

Sounds kinda late now. That’s the thing I don’t like about auto flowers. You work on their time, not the other way around.

@GuppyGirl The only reason I picked autos is because like I said it’s my first time growing and I tend to get very excited and impatient so I figured something with the quick turnaround would be good for me to start with until my excitement and impatience calms down and I can do something more lengthy, but I didn’t think she’d turn this quick.

I’d say you still have time for some training. If I plan on alot of training I plant off center and work it around the outside of the pot in a C shape. This works well for some of the strains I’ve grown, others not so much… I recently had to put a big bend in the top of one a month into flower, she took it and stood back up the next day. I wouldn’t recommend that but it worked out ok so far. I know people worry about herms but I haven’t had any issues yet. 🤞

@ohigrow that’s kind of originally what I was going for was to go around the outside of the plant, but I didn’t check on them for a day or so and boom. I was hoping to lay the top down off to the side some and maybe spread the branches out some more if you think that would be OK then I’m gonna go ahead and try it. I don’t expect miracles out of this grow anyway being it’s my first.

@captenbudz I love how fast they grow, being able to see a noticeable difference every 12 hours is cool. Don’t let a small harvest discourage you from growing autos. That’s what I started with and every run has been better than the last. I have learned a ton at a pretty rapid pace. I’m trying my first two photos now, but plan to start another run of 10 autos in a week or so.

@ohigrow oh never I plan on at least having some autos in my grow just because of the fast turnaround. That and if I really like this train, I can go for a Pheno hunt on the photo version
