a week agoAsk a Grow Question Wondering if any of you have experimented with the 11-13 flowering light cycle? An if so, what if any differences have you noticed. I ask, because I got some DJ Short seeds recently and have watched a few of his old interviews. Where he swears, that it makes the plants express themselves differently vs the 12-12 cycle. I am currently popping some of his Breeders Choice Mix #3. This is my very first run on photo period plants, about to flip to flower soon. Leaning towards 11-13. Or should I do the normal 12-12? Any thoughts on this my lovely community of growers?

Many tropical varieties live in a 12/12 environment. Switching to 11/13 for 3 weeks then 10/14 to finish. To simulate a natural seasonal change.

I’ve ran 11-13 for 20 years to save power.

@jmystro I use to run 11-13 straight from seed to flower as quickly as possible in a little micro grow before the legal days. It seemed that plants that would tend to herm under 12-12 would not throw nanners under 11-13
