Anyone finding success in treating Crohn’s disease with cannabis? Let’s share our experiences to support each other with how to best use cannabis to help.

Yo bro, former healthcare worker here….absolutely cannabis helps alleviate GI distress. I myself had IBD/IBS likely Crohns developing over the last year. Since leaving practice I’ve been a daily user and every symptom is greatly reduced or eliminated. There is also a deep connection to the mind/gut so check don’t forget to clean the upstairs too. Much love 🤘

@chestermccheesedck I appreciate the response. I have had Crohn’s for over 25 years and cannabis has been very helpful. The mind/gut connection is definitely important and seems doctors are just now coming around to that truth. Do you smoke or take edibles? What strains help you the most?

I haven’t considered edibles making things sluggish, I appreciate the feedback. Indica definitely helps me more than Sativa. It’s so amazing how a little flower can take you from nauseous to hungry.

Not Crohn’s , but with my IBS and ulcers, edibles seems to make my system sluggish leading to other issues so I limit my experiments to other methods now. Sometimes a tiny tiny hit of a good indica flips my nausea to hunger also.

@standingfox I’ve got a buddy who has that bad. I’ve tried to get him to try eating the green shader leaves as a salad. I’ve heard that helps. No psychoactive effects just as a super food.

Yes! Thank you for mentioning this. I have found blending up healthy fan leaves in water and straining it before drinking makes a super green drink that seems anti-inflammatory and energizing. It can be bitter which can make some nauseous. This plant can heal in many ways beyond just THC.

@marizema true. Probably better in that form.

Thanks for the response. I seemed to have responded to you under marizema. I’m new to this style of communication.

My wife has serious gut health issues. RSO pills have really helped her maintain quality of life. She has been seeing doctors her entire life about this. She used to get botox shots in her stomach to stop her from vomiting but the RSO has been a huge improvement.
-
Wow I have never heard of Botox being used for vomiting and even if it helped I bet taking RSO is way easier of a solution. I’m a big fan of RSO for managing my symptoms. Do you stay with one strain or find any strain is helpful? Bless you both.

@sirfapsalot GMO is definitely potent medicine. I look forward eudesmol terpene which is more rare because it really gives me appetite. I have found Mimosa and tigers blood to have a decent expression.
