Hey DGC! Bought a small pack of half gram joint while in Cali. I dig 1/2 joints coated in kief. Perfect size for just me smoking. I went with Blue Dream. The smell of the joints smelled like strong Smarty candy. TOO strong. Taste as well. I suspect spray terps. Never had weed especially in a joint taste like candy the whole burn. SUSPECT!!!

      • I got some like that in Michigan but they were strawberry. Well supposed to be strawberry cough but it was more like strawberry choke. I coughed on the first hit for 10 minutes. Smelled like it was sprayed. I think it was “infused” with diamond crystals. That will never happen again.

        • Yeah. I avoid anything “fortified” or “enhanced”.

          • I have also had something similar from a dispo in Canada, it was a mixed pack of kief rolled 1/2 gram joints 2 of each “strain”. Watermelon and peach, with the same experience very strong odour and flavour with every joint. Almost to consistently. 🤔

            • And they charge a mint and you don’t even get a better buzz or enhanced effects

              • Glad people are getting hip to this industry practice of adding terpenes and artificial concentrates while asking a premium like it’s top quality inputs. Pure unadulterated Homegrown is the way!

                • How do you think they stuck on the kiff with lol

                  • Seems like this is something to keep an eye out for, but how would you know? GROW YOUR OWN DGC!

                    • So those are the fake terps infused pre-rolls the Dude was referring to!

Not to slam dispo weed because there are a few choice craft LP’s operating in Canada but at the end of the day most of what is commercially grown ends up being crap. With profit margins so razor thin, these companies have no other options than to treat the plant like a commodity. Whenever you treat a living thing like a commodity, it usually entails that no extra care or love is being put in to the crop and as a result you end up with lacklustre flower. You can’t discount love as a valuable input in cannabis growing. It makes the difference between “I can’t feel my face” flower and “that gram joint gave me a headache” bunk.
