Just wanted to share this. I used some pvc pipe to make a frame and added a second flood tray to turn my 2×4 into a two story. Veg on bottom and nursery up top. This way I get basically same as I would have in a 4×4 with a smaller footprint. As an added bonus they share the same drainage and environmental controls.
I also get slightly higher temps and humidity on top which is perfect for babies.
