So who’s my go to?
I want to do a flood run in rockwool blocks, just because. Slabs? Cubes? Both?! What’s the protocols and pitfalls to look out for. How deep do you let the flood get in relation to the block height? Pre soak and drop pH way low? How often do you cycle the water, or do they kinda sit in an inch all the time? New technique to learn and compare.

I always liked woolrock cubes.
Important side note…
Some cubes comes stuck together with paper to keep a row of 6 together.
Important: remove all paper. It’s easier if you just remove old plastic and rerap it with panda plastic. Just heat seal it with rulers edge. Mold will grow on paper. Black mold 😬😬😬😮💨
Not not let them soak in water.
Cubes hold lots of water. As far as watering I used a ebb & flood table. Like containers, I’d pick up a cube to judge the weight. Basic flood a few times a day. But it’s really dry here in desert. Watch your humidity cuz there is a lot more water around.
I used large net cups to hold cubes with the clay round rocks as a base for weight. 6″ cubes are nice bur costly. I haven’t tired it yet but a mat of coco on the bottom of flood tray should help hold cubes in place but roots will grow into mat makes it impossible to pick up.
Hydro is not very forgiving. You need to daily it and still watch it closely.
I’m stoned and tired. Any more questions just hit me up bro

Slabs are cool. Expensive by cool. Used them back in the day of my sea of green setup.
Nothing like grabbing a slab, full of flowering clones to show off.
