Question about homemade grow tent. Ive been a carpenter for almost 25 years and I am going to build a 4’x8’x8′ tent framed with 2×4 and even got an idea for the door. My question does anyone know the best material to use for lining the inside or will flat white walls work just as well. Amazon had what looked like paper thin stuff with a reflective surface worried it would tear really easy. Thanks for any help.
SurfDad_grows, mountainmatt and 2 others-
Flat white will work best.

This has to be way more expensive than just buying a tent?

@frogslayer dudes a carpenter. Probably got all the supplies on hand. Cheap that way

@frogslayer Man… come out and see my $120 6x8x8 Panda tent. Drives my local buddies nuts. I run a flood table setup in it and love it so much I’m “expanding” on the idea.

Get some black and white panda plastic wrap used for years by the growing community for lining your grow room!

@wrath420 I agree, walls with mylar are way harder to clean and disinfect then good old heavy duty panda plastic. Spray able, ez to wipe down

I enjoy building things and the lumbers free for me just the wrap would cost me . I do like the panda plastic wrap idea. That is good competition maybe even more efficient but not as much fun as it is to build it. Its what i do get high and build shit. Lol thanks for the advice guys.

Im a sailmaker and tentmaker by trade, (retired now). I have manufactured both flat white and reflective aluminum type reflective material tents and I believe the white reflects just as well if not better.

I wish I could build a tent but with you constructing it wouldn’t that even though it’s smallish would be considered a grow room not a tent IMHO
