• Has anyone ever had that new shoe terpene? This lady was lemon skittle/Starburst till week 8. Chopped today and she smells like a factory fresh pair of new balance.

      • I heard someone recently describe a plant as smelling of new shoes and tennis balls. Can’t remember where I heard it or what the cultivar was but I’m intrigued.

        • @MelonFarmer yeah i think I heard someone on a podcast say it too, but I couldn’t begin to say what episode of who’s show. I did a quick search on seed finder and there are several “shoe” strains.

          • @durbsgreen I got some stuff when I was a teenager that smelled like a dentists gas mask. Like cleane rubber/latex. I’ve been chasing that smell ever since. Haha

      • Looks great what cultivar is it? I’ve experienced the fresh leather and Rubber smells like a new pair of shoes and tennis 🎾 balls before from some OG x Chem cultivars and I really like the body shop paint booth smelling Chem varieties!

        • @wrath420 thank you very much. I made this cross with some old seed stash from 2018. The mom was a auto flower that smelled like artificial blueberrys. The dad was also a “bag seed” from same time frame. Based on smell of him I think he was from some skywalker I had got some seeds in.

      • Yes, “new shoes” bro. I just harvested 3 plants all grown from seed. The strain for all of them are Gingerbreadman but all 3 have uniquely different flavor profiles. 1 of them ended up being the plastic/new shoe/peppery scent. Personally I’m not a fan of the New Shoes terp but I will smoke it early in the day as It never seems to make me tired.

        • @jason2jackson that’s interesting this was originally a 9 plant run came down to 3 girls left. This one was totally over powering lemon till the last week. The other 2 are purple and kinda odorless compared. This one doesn’t have any purple I’m hoping for a more uplifting effect, so I hope that’s from the new shoe terp lol.

        • I prefer burnt rubber over tennis balls and sneakers, but those are interesting terps… Makes me think of Masonic’s Wilson…
