• Hello, I’m a nubi grower, however I have grown plenty outdoors over the last 30 years. I remember growing in a giant wood cable spool. Turned out that the wood slats inside the spool provided great airflow flow to the roots.

I’m doing indoor auto, Fox Ocean fertilizer in 3 gal. T5 fluorescent high output. Inkbird temp and humidity Controllers. I have 1000 W electric heater, Currently using my spider farmer duck fan to pump fresh air in from outside when the space above gets too hot, I plan on connecting my carbon filter to the duck fan in order to filter anything coming from outside that fits through the screen mesh.

Once the Jelly Donut babies and tobacco get a little bigger I’m going to empty out the room and hang another ballast. The tobacco will eventually go in the greenhouse.

My grow room is a repurposed server station for telecommunications. Constructed out of molded fiberglass well insulated, industrial fans at ceiling heights. I’m only using a small portion of this large containe for my grow. The container has AC and Heat in the other portion, however the space will be utilized for storage until next winter. The container is 10’ high, 10’ wide, 16’ long. The area that I am growing in is 10’ long by 4’ wide.

My goal is to grow small amounts of premium flower for my self and family and learn what works best for me.

During this grow I’m planning a solar system for the next. As I own plenty of solar panels and 12 volt batteries. The math looks doable with all of the DC equipment availability.

Other than isolating my grow room further, what are some cost effective improvements i can do for the room specifically?

Thanks for the show, it’s becoming my go to guide for indoor growing.. Russ

      • Sounds like a great project. I’m thinking some bigger lights will definitely improve quality over flourescent.
