• Lets talk cloning! I’ve been crushing it lately with the bubble cloner & the $82 AC Infinity complete clone system. How do you all clone? What’s your best tip? Best comments will be featured on the show.

      • After I cut the bottom node at a 45 degree angle, I very lightly scrape the skin of the clipping just above that cut. Then I dip it in the rooting hormone. Seems to help it sprout more roots.

        I use a suped-up clone king 25 site aeorcloner…been using it forever….

I have a slightly larger Vivosun pump that I used to replace the cheap pump that came with… I also replaced the misters with flat top 360° misters so that the solution penetrates the stem better.

The cloner is elevated off of the ground with a fan blowing underneath it to keep things inside the rez around 70°. I also have the pump on a 15 minute on/off interval analog timer so it doesn’t overheat the solution in the cloner.

        For the solution itsel:

1ml per gallon of my normal feed solution and the same ratio per gallon of KLN (rooting hormone of choice) PH’d down to 5.8.

I usually have nubs in a week and roots by 14 days.

        Cheers DGC✌️

      • Love my cloner now. Took a little bit to convert from the solo cups. I like the space saving this way.

        • I have the little 20 dollar 6 hole hydro cloner. I really want to try it but I’m not 100% on what to put in the water, etc, If my balls don’t grow a little before it’s time to take some cuts I’ll just do it in soil….lol. Only ever cloned a plant once 35 years ago. You folks make it look easy.

          • @Nvr2old CloneX makes a solution for that. It’s like 1 oz of solution to a gallon of water, and there’s your cloner nutrient solution.

Clear solo in a red solo cup works great every time🥸

            • Im more a seed guy but when I do make clones I use a “seamripper” that i buy online that skins the stem perfectly before you dip into cloning hormone. Really cheap and allows you to control your skim cut! I buy mine from sailrite dot com. Very sharp btw.

              • Ezcloner has been working great but needs to be kept super clean before and after each run

I use a 24 slot cloner that I bought on Amazon for $40. I zip tied 3 barrina 10w lights ($30 Amazon) to the top and run them 24/7. Fully loaded I’ll have 3-4 clones per puck. The cloner holds about a gallon of water which is ph6, with a dusting of recharge, and 1 tsp aloe added.

7-10 days later, once roots are showing, they go into the tent in a prop pot or a peet pot depending on the grow style I’m going to use for the run.

My best tip is keep the ppfd low until they’re rooted and the environment warm and humid. My cloner runs around 75 degrees and about 30ppfd. My prop tent runs at 82 degrees and 80% humidity, 400ppfd and my plants take off!
