How much light is too much light?
Or is that even a thing.
Curious to know people’s opinions and personal experience.
I am currently running 1000W of HPS energy on a 1m x 1m footprint, my tent height is 1.5m for reference.
Why 1000W? Because I can. 😂
Currently in the middle of a really cold winter here and with my usual 600W I could only reach “daytime” temperatures of 18⁰C, “nighttime” around 17⁰C.
So I have boosted my temperature by using my 400W summer bulb that I use as a seasonal indoor grower, you all know the constant battle against nature.
Well in this case she appears to be on my side.
Constantly inspecting the plants for light or heat damage but I’m compensating for the extra light and direct temperature.
Tent temperature at peak is now 22⁰C, Rh 47-55% depending on ambient buffer room conditions.
So I’ll have a nice reference now for harvest comparisons depending on HPS power.
As a bonus I’m using the exhaust from the tent to keep the worst of the cold at bay in the house during the night. It all helps.
On another note my friend sent me some clones through the post that I have just repotted, RS11 and Blue Zushi.
