      • The fact the the licensing has stopped in Minnesota do to legal and court battles. The office of cannabis management (OCM) can’t get their ducks in a row. As a person from minnesota it’s discouraging. Do better minnesota.

        • Germany: they are going to illegalise again after the next election in february 😔

          Wow

        • So far the best thing New York has allowed us is the home grow. 6 plants per person, 3 Mature, 3 immature. Maximum 12 plants per household. they also state a 5lb maximum we can store in our homes. I think that’s plenty fair and awesome.

this is the eclipse of the 4th year of legalization and man it’s been a bumpy and insane ride.

We can pretty much smoke anywhere outdoors where cigarettes are allowed. And we can purchase and hold in public up to 3oz without a ticket or anything.

They totally fucked the business side of things, not enough production of anything really. Quality has been a miss after miss. There’s some great brands doing the lords work but the majority can only be described as BOOF.

there are some really awesome dispensaries and some useless ones. I work as the Lead of Inventory for a small mom and pop shop in Chelsea, Manhattan. Verdi.

they’re doing a lot of community engagement which is nice.

Biggest flaw in most is education, there’s needs to be more available information both recreationally and informative for both the consumer and the employees.

Im on a mission to become an encyclopedia of cannabis, so I like to share everything I learn about cannabis to my team.

          • We can only grow two plants at a time thanks to the the mso saying they could hurt there bottom line

            • No home grow in New Jersey is complete bullshit.

              • Virginia was supposed to have legal recreational cannabis sales in 2024. First they made 4oz or more criminal in 2021. And then the governor vetoed commercial sales in 2024 and rec is at a stalemate. But at least the smell of marijuana is no longer probable cause to search your car or persons since 2021. So most home growers are in a good place.

                Sad

                • The thing that really busts my balls is that here in Canada you can only grow 4 plants at home at one time. WTF? They obviously don’t live in the boring town I do. 4 plants doesn’t cut it when you use the herb to avoid reality that is your life living in the east coast of Canada.

                    • The only things in VA is the 4plant count per-household and the lack of dispensaries since recreational sale is still prohibited. Because of that the medical dispo prices are way overpriced and basicly corner the market. That’s why I started growing

                      1
                      • Legal in Minnesota for home grow. 4 in veg 4 in flower. Finally get to grow our own Medicine. New grower here

                        • Illinois is one of the worst, legalize it so you can charge 50% tax. some of the highest prices in the country $40-50 minimum on concentrates per gram. NO home growing unless you have a med card, and it’s one plant. Corruption at it’s finest.

                          1
                        • the dead zone of Wisconsin no movement towards legalization and Minnesota cant find there butt with both hands.

                          • I agree with @smoking-goat It could be much better here in Minnesota. An 8 plant limit with only 4 allowed in flower at any time. I’m just hapoy they allowed home growing at all with how some of these states want to setup or change their regulations.

                            • I live in Ohio
I’m pretty ok with the laws we have we have recreational cannabis and can grow 6 plants per 21 year old with a max of 12 per household I would say that’s not to bad, but the prices are ridiculously high compared to Michigan and the dispensaries are about the same distance so I spend my money there and the weights in Ohio it’s like you had a dude grab you a bag from his source and he pinched it lol

                              • I live in South Carolina. It is highly illegal and not tolerated at all. People are going to jail for one seed or one stem in an ashtray or cup holder in their car! If you are caught growing you are going away for a good while and getting blown up on the local news like the devil himself. I have lived here for all 51 years of my life but am seriously considering moving to somewhere not so ignorant.

                                Wow

                                • Missouri has a registration program to be a cultivator and have 6 plants (in flower), but depending on your family they can register their plant count to you, and I think you can get up to 18? (Don’t quote me, I’m not overly concerned with the inspectors hoping to count my plants)

We (Missouri) have some whacky ideas about firearms/laws that have more than a few people squawking, but for laws directly affecting a home grower, I think it’s not too bad.

No cannabis socal places. We are treated in Canada as odd ball step children even though cannabis shops out number our coffee shops. But no real place to converse or gather and consume publicly about anything cannabis related. You can go to a bar drink, you can go to a private cigar club, But there is nothing for cannabis users. There may be something different in bigger cites or other provinces but in Ontario its like smoke it outside some place. I would love a venue with good music and food, good seating. Something like Club des Hashischins they had in the old days in Paris. Classy place made for the cannabis connoisseur.

                                    • If you have plant counts that’s quasi legal at best! and imo sets a dangerous president theres already far to much government over reach in all aspects of life

                                      • mr-spin i’m just out side of UConn , them husky’s can smell the dank.

Ain’t a damn thing changed in prohibitionland where I live…

I wish my state had any form of legalization…sadly we don’t, but I refuse to allow imaginary lines to dictate my relationship with cannabis… I don’t like to bring it up much, but I‘m a veteran with physical and mental health issues… Cannabis improves my quality of life so much that I can’t imagine being without it. Growing brings me peace and sanity… smoking does the same. I love this plant so much…

We (people in general, not just veterans) shouldn’t have to uproot our families to move to a cannabis friendly state… or be forced to choose whether or not to move to a specific place just to access cannabis as a treatment option.

We all should be able to home grow, and at a minimum, cannabis should be treated like beer/alcohol:

It shouldn’t matter how much is in my fridge…if I wanna share it – I should be able to freely… If I wanna consume in a public setting, there should be a place for that…and if I’m good at “home brewing” I should be able to sell what I produce, or caretake for others.

                                          Okay. Off my soapbox.😬😅

legalization in nearby states has reduced CO industry revenue as less people from out of state come to CO to pick up. feels like the larger operators are all about dropping prices drastically to outlast the smaller providers whose pockets aren’t as deep. reminds me of good ol railroad price wars. grow your own or support your local growers!

                                            • Here in Illinois medical starting in 2013 and recreational starting in 2020. I have had my medical card for five years now. I’ve been told by many police officers that if I am ever driving and I get pulled over and they say I smell like marijuana just give them my medical card and they won’t even mess with me. I’ve never had to do that though. That’s a big relief though cause I always smell like pot. Lol. Only thing that I really can’t stand about the cannabis laws and the legalization of the recreational here in Illinois. Our governor keeps telling everybody there is no money and they made off of it so far as profit. I don’t know if anybody knows how crooked Illinois politicians have been in the past, but I think if there’s no money being made it’s because somebody has their hand in till, just saying. They do allow homegrown with the med card. 5 plants and only indoors. Which I obey strictly. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 For recreational they tax higher by the THC levels. For medical we don’t get charged any taxes. I’d have to say the local dispensaries are not too bad a scale from one to 10 they are hard eight here. But to be fair, there’s only three near me in an hour away. The flower quality is sometimes hit or miss. Certain brands just seem to have better quality. The extract selection is usually the biggest. They have tons. Anything you could want, wish the flower selection was that good. Price has dropped a lot and they always have deals too. I am in the sticks so two of the dispos are 45min to a hour away. The one is only 35min from me. I go there mostly. They have never steered me wrong there. When I told them what I was looking for and why. They did me good. Being in pain with this fucking cancer……..it help extremely! Unless I need too or want to try something new I rarely go anymore.
