“FAST” FLOWERING STRAINS are made by crossing Auto x Photoperiod strains promise a shorter bloom while retaining photoperiod characteristics. A local buddy just ran a pack that was done at 50 days, and he swears they have “proper amber”. Have you run any yet? Tell us about it…
bnr, wytelyte and 9 others-
I never have run a auto. Just got started again with a photo outside. I got busted in 1987 for growing it outside. It’s fun. I’m just starting growing inside now.

@EdAugur24 much respect for your service. This ought to be a thing with those that paid the price.

I will be next year. Accidentally crossed my 420 Tarantula Genetics Strawberry Grape Smoothie (M) with a Mephisto Double Grape (F). Lmfao Got a whole mason jar of well developed beans. Sadly, I never got to show off my Tarantula Genetics Strawberry Grape Smoothie run because all 5 beans i popped out of the 12 pack I won on DGC 420 Episode were male.

Autos are created with photoperiods and rudy. Sounds like marketing for noobs. Photoperiod genetics need to have short flowering times for an auto to finish fast. No seed will start flowering until they’re a month old and sexually mature. Fast flowering marketing refers to autos that start flowering (fast) as soon as they’re sexually mature outdoors and not their total flower time. They’re genetics are not really that fast as most finish 9 weeks plus.

@jmystro not saying I support it but there are a few makers doing fast photos. for example: “Fast” or “Quick” cannabis seeds by Humboldt Seeds are photo-dependent strains with a really fast flowering phase, which means they flower between 1 and 2 weeks faster than the standard versions. Humboldt Seeds’ Fast genetics have been created from the cross of their classic strains with their best autoflowering varieties. Fast strains are ideal for impatient growers eager to obtain quicker harvests, as well as for growers in northern areas with adverse weather conditions. Fast strains are perfect for anyone wishing to grow our classic Humboldt genetics while retaining all their top qualities — and finish in mid September!

@jmystro FASTFLOWERING CANNABIS SEEDS
We decided to create crosses by using our best autoflower genetics together with a selection of the purest and most stabilised feminised strains. As a result, we are proud to introduce our Fastflowering line. This new type of cannabis genetics are not autoflowers. They maintain absolutely all of the advantages of photoperiodic strains, but we were able to significantly reduce their flowering time to only 6-7 weeks. This is an indisputable advantage for all outdoor growers as now it will be possible to harvest up to 2 weeks earlier, which significantly reduces the risks from bad weather and short summers. As for indoor growers, they will be able to save time and money during the grow. These are a perfect addition to our catalog, aligning with all the same concepts of Fast Buds Genetics.-
@bnr This is the 3rd time I’ve seen this company’s nonsense marketing posted here. I know it by heart now. 😜

Early in my growing in prohobition-land seeds was harder to get and way to expensive. My reaktion to that was to pollynate atleast a coupel of flowers on every female that passt thru the flowerroom with eny healthy male i hade at that moment just to build my own seed stash. Even the autos. 3 clear trates came out from fem autos get’n hit with photo p. Males.
#1- about 50-80% of the female plants from crossing auto x photos started to apsolutly stink up the house in veg as they started to show pre-sex. Hade to panic install carbon filters in veg.
#2- alot of the girls hade sutch tight node spaceing that it became Impossible to run them with my SOP. Deffenetly some of the biggest main top buds iw ever seen.
#3- Yes I saw alot of them finish faster. My Dementia cut loved to go 80 days with bumper yields. The girls from auto x Dementia hade a finish time betvin 50-65 days and never come’n close to my Dementia cuts yield.
Thank you for leting me share my early experiences, I was 50% crazy professor my first 10y of lurning to grow. I must have made ALL the mistakes possible lol
Still got alot of them seeds left & they still pop after over 10years under my bed.

@NorthernlightKind Interesting. I didn’t purposely polinate the double grape, in fact I was angry at myself. I waited 2 years for those genetics and that polinated her haha

@ArnoGardens Oh man i feel for you. The autos was made diffrent bak when I did all this, your auto is a much better starting point for the cross you made. Mayby Gaia/Shiva have a plan and just blesst you with some new fire. I found alot of good stuff. 3 things to have in the bak of your head running them. Watch our for inter-sex and with my old stock i whod always do a heavy lollipop cos most intersex trates showd on the lowers and they did fine if I removed her skirt. And finaly Watch out for auto trates. If my male was dominant i didnt se eny autos in the first gen. Hade some issius when the male was less dominant with some girls starting to semi flower when root bound. Good luck & please keep us updated when your off to the race.

I just ran an auto that finished in under two months. Seed to harvest. The extended light times in flower are crazy coming from photos. The quality wasn’t on par tho.
-
In contrast I have some auto kushberry moonrocks I had to flip to 12/12 because they just kept vegging like monsters! They finally started flowering.
-
Currently running a couple autos from Ethos genetics. Will report results soon, I’m 2 weeks in.

So if I’ve got my head on right about this…
I can pop a GDP male and put it in the same tent as my selected auto of choice and end up with “fast flowering selected x GDP” seed?!
Hmmmm. I mean, I’m pretty open and I bet I can did a spot for them!
