Ohio growmies looks like we are going to see some changes… In December of 2023, the Senate passed a bill to restrict marijuana. If signed into law, it would decrease the THC content and raise the cost. Among dozens of other restrictions and changes to what the voters chose, it would ban the vast majority of vapes. It would also limit home-growing marijuana from 12 plants to six.
“The amount of home growth that’s happening, of course, is far beyond the use for one to two people who may be growing it in their home… The only reason that someone would be growing that much marijuana is to resell it,” Huffman added, later saying that someone growing 12 plants would likely be participating in the “illicit market.” among some other proposed changes. https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2024/12/09/ohio-gop-again-proposes-restricting-marijuana-and-making-it-more-expensive/

Ohio GOP, again, proposes restricting marijuana and making it more expensive • Ohio Capital Journal
Although voters overwhelmingly chose to legalize recreational marijuana in 2023, one of the most powerful leaders in the state plans to dramatically change what Ohioans selected. So far, the policy has been safeguarded, but it likely won't be in 2025.

This is a bunch of BS. All it’s gonna do is push people to hiding their grows again. Leave it a lone!! I’ve been one who has grown non-stop since it’s been legal and I have not sold the first gram. I like having options when I go to my jar tote. My grow is for my wife and I, maybe a a friend here and there but that’s it. No one here pushing sales and making bank! Just a couple weeks ago the local news said Ohioan’s are spending $10 million a week on our new legal weed. That state is stacking the money and now they want to complain? It’s insane!!
If I remember correctly Huffman cried about the law when it came into affect just over a year ago. That said, I do think there is some tweaks that need made to the law. Right now, kids are able to buy products with delta 8 in them at gas stations, that should stop. Warning labels need improved. Carding needs improved. But don’t mess with our home grows!!

Ridiculous… What this really means is we’ll have to be very aware of what we’re posting. I doubt it’ll change much as far as my grow is concerned. Just don’t post pics that exceed plant count, don’t make it easy on them… Has anyone actually had someone come and take count? I doubt it, unless you’re one of the people selling it. That’s definitely not me, with 12 going I’m just getting by. I grow for myself, wife and mother, that’s it. Also, I can go buy an oz on the street for $100. I put way too much effort into my girls to give it away at that price. This is a guy who has no idea what he’s talking about…

@ohigrow I’m finding that is more often the case… not knowing what the hell they’re talking about. It has become a paid profession. Just look the part and say for pay.
