surfdad_grows posted an update
Using motherearth 4-5-6 dry fertilizer(not on cannabis) rather than working it into the soil ive seen feed wells. Has anyone done that rather than working it inthe soil for a indoor bed/tote? Trying to do this like its in my backyard but indoor.
Just trying to really figure out the kind of potential i can create. Not sure if i do no till or to do it. I planted the grass just to cut it and create a cover for starter. Haven’t decided to throw some build a soil companion/cover in there. This is getting me ready for a raised bed garden this summer in the backyard so im trying in small scale.

I’ve got a post to write up about things like your grass… Companion plants but not for the reason you may think 😉

@surfdad_grows That is fair. Regardless I wrote my post on companion planting plants that your pets enjoy as deterrent to them getting into the Cannabis. If the Cannabis plant is the only thing available inside they have access to then can we blame them?

@zoomycat not for my cats, I get them high. They run in for sesh and love it. They get catnip and leaves so they stay out. What I’ve read clover is good but it attracts other pests so and can be in its own pot. Keeping spider mites away then others to deter other pests but that will continue to grow, mulch it up and keep going. But to the point of a feed well I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth doing that or just working it in and watering.
Playing with dry fertilizers is new to me this way. Just water, recharge and dry amendments and fertilizer. All these are loving recharge.

@surfdad_grows Oh I get that is not the purpose of your grass. But that was the purpose of my post. Exactly what you said here. Have plants you grow *for* your pets so they leave the Cannabis alone. I grow catnip for my cat as well.
Sure they can also be companion plants to the Cannabis but the point wasn’t that benefit I was discussing. It is the benefit you said. Does my cat leave my Cannabis alone because I provide catnip on the window sill? I think this may be part of what happened, I always felt her having her own plants was important. Of course that obligates me to take care of her plants but she gets that.

@zoomycat now I’d love to see a cat doing its own home grow of catnip 😂😂😂 quality content there now lol.

@zooe looked into growing the plants for catnip. I just don’t have an issue with noisy boy getting in it. He stays out but loves looking in. He only goes in if I’m doing something in the tent, not paying attention to him lol. I’ll go check out your post.👌
