I need help with a sick plant. She is GG#4 auto. She has been getting progressively worse over the last week I’ve never had this happen to a plant. She has been through a lot. Broke the main stem training when she was very young was able to save her. But it put her behind a few weeks from her sister plant who was started at the same time. And once the healing process had finished she literally exploded into the huge plant that you see today. I have done one treatment of Epsom salt 1 tbsp per gallon of water the other day. Not really sure how often to do that. From what it looks like it looks like a magnesium deficiency but I’m not really sure. Any help would be appreciated. The pictures are a few days apart. She is still drinking water and the buds are still putting on size.

75° with 55% humidity I’m growing in a 4×4 Mars hydro tent. 3 gallon fabric pots with a living soil cocoa mix with Gaia green 444 and 284 and worm castings. Top dressing with the guy green 444 and 284 worm castings every few weeks water pH is 6.5

@bostonredneck is there any way you can do a soil ph check? I wonder if that might be a lot of stuff not working nice with each other. I really love the rapid soil tests . It is not perfect but it gives me a good look at the NPK and ph. If one of your nutrients is really high, it can shut down other nutrients, and vice versa. It does not cover calcium and magnesium. But if you just a Basic Cal mag in a bottle at two mil per gallon, that should be in order. From where I’m standing, I’m gonna guess that it’s all this organic stuff interacting with each other. Those are small parts and that stuff can be pretty strong. now that’s just a guess. Have you used this set of nutrients in combination together in the past?

I feel like the huge plant is up taking water quicker than you think to trying to feed the buds. It feels like she can’t get enough water to me. If you’re bottom watering perhaps its not providing enough capillary action for a plant this size? How does the pot weight feel to you?

In my personal opinion that is far too small of a pot for “living soil”. I consider my 20 gals a small pot for living soil. For now you might try getting some bottled nutrients and finish her that way. I agree that it is likely not getting enough water and may be root bound to the point of stressing the whole plant. The purple in the stems leads me to believe it’s just hungry and thirsty and stressed out.

@simeon I didn’t notice the purpling of the stems although its not that bad. That could point to a PH issue that could be resulting in lockout. This can happen simply by the environment being out of whack and the plant saying F* this!

@simeon I get what you’re saying when she got so big that’s where my mind was going not enough room for the roots not enough nutrient I’ll try some bottle nutrients thank you for the advice fingers crossed!

Rootbound plants get very fussy. Under water them and it’s a wrap.

7 gallon is about the smallest for a living soil

@ol-no-7 I’ve always used three or five gallon pots have never had an issue like this before. Never broken the main stem on the plant before either there was a lot of firsts with this plant never expected it to survive and certainly never expected it to blow up as big as it did
